Complex Disputes Require A Trial-Tested Perspective

Complex cases can be resolved, but not every case should settle. Finding solutions and winning strategies requires an understanding of litigants, trial lawyers, judges, and juries — both their capacities and their limitations. Wesley Hill has spent two-plus decades resolving and trying complex cases, for both plaintiffs and defendants, in over 1100 cases of record, in Texas state and federal courts. Cases involving intellectual property infringement, trade secrets, business disputes, contracts, fraud, qui tam actions, and more.

This substantial, balanced litigation experience helps Mr. Hill see both sides of a dispute and understand the most essential component of any mediation or trial strategy — the achievable.

Areas of Practice

Mediations

Contemplative, direct, and persistent. Mr. Hill applies his years negotiating solutions for plaintiff and defense clients in high-stakes litigation to identify achievable solutions for parties through mediation. Whether conducted traditionally, as a singular event, or over a window of time on a distributed basis, Mr. Hill helps parties explore the potential and limits of their case to reach a beneficial agreement.

Trial Consulting

Winning at trial starts early-on, behind the scenes, crafting trial narratives, strategies for bad facts, and preparing key witnesses to testify impactfully at trial. Mr. Hill has performed these tasks innumerable times over his twenty-plus years of trial practice, yielding noteworthy results for his clients and co-counsel. As a trial consultant, Mr. Hill can help your trial team skillfully perform these same tasks to position your case for its best chance of success.

Limited Trial Engagements

Wesley Hill has made a career from his demonstrated ability before juries and judges as a trial lawyer in complex cases. While trying cases is no longer the focus of his practice, he hasn’t forgotten the skills that earned him fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers, Associate rank in the American Board of Trial Advocates, and recognition in numerous legal publications for his trial work. In select cases with the right co-counsel, Mr. Hill still looks for opportunities to add value as part of a client’s trial team.
